The Unusual Tale Of Mr. Angry UN-Subscriber

“PLEASE REMOVE ME FROM YOUR LIST! I have no interest in your offer.”
Yeah. You’re feelin’ fired up!
I know this. Because, if you’ve ever sent out a broadcast to your mailing list, you got that exact same one-line email from some douche.
Makes you feel like shit, doesnt it?
I hate it. I want so badly to just write back “EFF YOU”. Luckily, i’ve been blessed with the longest fuse god ever gave man. So by the tips of my fingers, i manage to hold myself, unsubscribe them manually through gritted teeth and some choice verbal swears, and then i delete that message with passionate disgust so I NEVER have to see it again.
That … is ….
NOT a nice way to feel!
If you get mad, i understand. That email of such few words adds insult to injury.
On the one hand, one of the leads you spent time and money generating, you just found out they didn’t like you. And you’re one more lead down.
Feels frustrating. Especially in the beginning. Because it seems so much easier to lose prospects than it is to get them.
But it’s just OUTRIGHT INSULTING, when some bitter person gets mad and decides to take the time to write an email, choose you as their victim, and intentionally spread their “anger” like a disease.
Woah…chill dude.
What’s with the attitude? Take yourself off the list. I don’t have time for this.
If you’re like me, you make no effort to hide the unsubscribe link. It’s directly after every single email. Other people like to bury their unsubscribe link at the very very bottom of their messages
…but not me.
I even chose the phrasing, “to be removed from this list”. I want people to know that this is the link to click if you wanna be removed.
The worst part is, that those rude and angry emails, make it hard for you to send out your next broadcast.
Have you felt that way before? Where you totally second-guess your whole approach, and wonder if you are really emailing too frequently? Or maybe you should send more free stuff?
Anger turns to hesitation. and then Fear.
What to do?
Well, here’s my take on the whole subject…

My Emails Save You TIME
And i appreciate that and love you for it.
You see, I want to teach you how to be a good marketer like me.
To do that, i have to show you what worked for me. i assume you’re here because you want to draw on my experience. Don’t you believe you can avoid wasting time and money by hearing from me, first-hand about what works and what doesn’t.
So if i say, hey John (or Jane), i tried PPC and it worked.
I’ve just saved you from guessing. You don’t have to go try a million different ways to get traffic. Because if there’s one thing i’m absolutely certain of is that PPC works.
Here i am. Living proof.
My responsibility as a trainer and teacher, at least the way i see it, is not to preach and lecture. It’s to set a good example you can follow.
We all learn better from demonstration and imitation.
So i have to actually DO what i teach and PROVE it works really well. I’m supposed to be my teaching’s own perfect example.
A worked example.
Suppose, i tell you,
“create a squeeze page in this way and collect leads from it”.
I am collecting leads the exact same way. Without any fancy expensive software or employees.
i tell you,
“build a relationship with your list”.
What am i doing in every email i send you? I try to give you value and entertainment to build our friendship.
i tell you,
“educate, sell, and track your list”. I am doing that every time i write to you.
So yes, Mr and Mrs Angry Unsubscriber.
You might not be interested in our offers but there are other people who look to us for leadership.
Did I Step On Your Cat?
Ever notice how the Angry Unsubscriber usually seems genuinely offended that you’re selling?
It’s like they wait around, perfectly content to keep receiving your emails as long as they’re useful, entertaining, and free…but as soon as you have something to sell,
… they think they have an open license to be rude!
I think it’s their sense of entitlement and it bugs me.
Most employee-type personalities do that thing…
Douchebags Are All Around Us
Like I popped over to KFC for lunch yesterday and remembered why i hadn’t eaten there in years. But anyway there was this guy and he was holding up the queue asking the manager to “work something out” for his order. Translation: “give me a discount”. He figured by taking this “big” order (in his opinion) he was entitled to save a couple of bucks from the posted price. Which, if we’re talking entitlement, then KFC has the right to get the full posted price.
And you could see it in his face, that he was one of those guys who would go to work and boast to his buddies about how he saved $3 by out-smarting the just-above-minimum-wage “manager” of the branch. Friggin bully.
Those emails are written by douchebags.
They act as if you should apologise…for stepping on their cat…i mean for selling.
Excuse me?
If i don’t sell, i make no money. And no one will CARE about what i do, since there’s no proof it works. What use is a squeeze page designed this way, or a newsletter written that way, or this keyword technique or that ad strategy….if none results in money?
Why would you want to follow my example if i have no evidence that it’s working or will ever work?
You need to be able to trust my example.
So if i expect you to take my word and use PPC for traffic, then i gotta be the one who:
- took the risk FIRST.
- Tested PPC with my own money when i had very little.
- and proved it makes money
All this, before i could start dishing out advice about it.
…and ya know what else?
It’s my DUTY to keep makin’ sales and money. Because it gives you confidence in ME and confidence in yourself to learn…so you can go forth fearlessly.
When i tell you that i get leads and prospects and traffic from PPC, i’m telling you what works. And you’d be a fool to think that this is a “personal opinion” and to dismiss my advice.
THERE IS NO OPINION ABOUT IT!
I am telling you, i am here today, in a position to teach others how to make money on the internet, because i have done it first. And I know for a fact that…

I also know how to get a blog or website up and have it ranked in the top ten and often the top five of any keyword I select in just a week on any search engine. This was not an easy topic to learn, but I can not only do this with a blog or website, but I can also do this with articles, press releases, videos, which is where the viral marketing comes into play.
But, what many new online entrepreneurs; such as yourself, do not know is that once you have mastered lead generation, there is the next step of being able to convert those leads. A big part of lead conversion is going to be determined by what you are doing in your backend; meaning your autoresonder, your follow-up. I know many of you have heard that money is in the follow-up and this is true. But many new online marketers do not understand that it takes knowledge and skills in converting leads. Lead conversion also correlates with the quality of leads you generate which means targeting to the right prospects.
So, what do you do once you have learned to generate 25 or more leads per day and you still are not making any money? You have to work on your backend. This can mean adjusting your email letters that you send out every day from your autoresponder or making adjustments to you websites and blogs so that they generate high quality leads.
Let me first explain what a high quality lead is because when I first got started, I was not sure what this term “high quality lead” meant. A high quality lead is someone who in very interested in what you have to offer. If they are truly interested in what you are offering and like what you are giving, meaning the value that you offer by way of newsletters, trainings, etc, they will be more likely to spend money on the various products and tools that you also offer.
So, say for example you have a website that is focused on credit repair. You offer them, for free, an ebook on ways to repair one’s credit. Once your prospect has joined your list, you then continue to share value with your prospects on other aspects of credit repair; such as, how to avoid credit score mistakes, how to keep your credit score safe, etc. But, as you share with them such valuable information, you are also marketing to them products that will help them with their credit.
If done correctly, many of your leads will purchase the various products. This is how the top online marketers make their money. Many top marketers have very large lists of prospects that they market to repeatedly. You definitely don’t want dead beats in your list taking up space. After all, although it is nice to share helpful information to others, you are, after all, in business, and if no one buys, you have no business because you are not making any money.
So, to enhance my online marketing, in particular, my blogging efforts, so that my blogs are generating high quality leads, I have joined “Blog Success” and I must say I am very impressed and here is why.

Vida Viva En Dallas Georgia

My family and I moved into this 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom house in Dallas Georgia recently from Montgomery Alabama.
I had lived in Dallas Georgia before. In fact, I had bought my first home here. Although Dallas Georgia is quite a drive from Atlanta Georgia, Dallas was an escape for me. It was quaint, quiet, not too much traffic and the people were very nice and polite.
Since I enjoy quiet times with either myself, family and friends, I thought Dallas was the best place from me and my family.
Well, I must say, it has been about 10 years since I last lived in Dallas and it has changed. Although not nearly as crowded as Atlanta Georgia, it has grown significantly.
There are more shops, stores, Wal-marts, Targets, etc. and traffic, traffic, traffic. One highway stays busy even on the weekends.
There are also many medical facilities here. This is important to me because about a year ago, my mother was diagnosed with colon cancer. We are blessed because she is now in remission, but I still have to take her to her regular doctor appointments and the drive is easy because everything is so close by.
Although we are expected to move from Georgia soon, thus far, I have enjoyed my stay in good, ole Dallas Georgia.
Did you know that it snows here in Georgia. When I last lived here, seeing snow this far inland was rare. But, sure this winter we have had a number of snow days. Below are some picture to prove that it does snow in Georga.

Establish Leadership Traits

When you are at work, do you get frustrated because things don’t go according to you plans. You see people milling around but nothing gets accomplished. In the daily events, do you feel that your goals remain just that, goals. Then maybe it is time for you to stand up and do something about it.
Many people are content just to stand around listening for orders. It is unusual to adopt a follow-the-leader-mentality. But, maybe, somewhere inside of you, you feel the desire to make things happen; to be the head and not the tail. Maybe leadership suits you just fine.
Some people believe that great leaders are made, not born. Yes, it is true that some people are born to be natural leaders. However, without practice, without drive, without enthusiasm, and without experience, you will not be able to establish leadeship traits.
You must also remember that good leaders are continually working and studying to improve their natural skills. This takes a commitment to constantly improve in whatever endeavor a person chooses.
First of all, let’s define leadership. To be a leader, one must be able to influence others to accomplish a goal, or an objective. He or she contributes to the organization and cohesion of a group.
Contrary to what most people believe, having leadership traits is not about power. It is not about harassing people or driving them using fear. It is about encouraging others towards the goal of the organization. It is putting everyone on the same page and helping them to see the big picture of the organization. You must be a leader, not a boss.
In other words, you must first get people to follow you. How is this accomplished?
People follow others when they see a clear sense of purpose. People will only follow you if they see that you know where you are going. Maybe you may have seen the bumper sticker that says, “Don’t follow Me, I’m Lost Too”? The same holds true for leadership. If you do not know where you are headed, chances are people will not follow you.
You must know the vision you have set for yourself. Having a clear sense of hierarchy, knowing who the bosses are, who to talk to, your goals and objectives, and how it works is the only way to show others you know what you are doing.
Being a leader is not about what you make other do. it is about who you are, what you know, and what you do. You are a reflection of what you want you followers to become.
Studies have shown that one other basis of good leadership is the trust and confidence your followers have of you. If they trust you, they will go through hell and high water for you.
Trust and confidence is built on good relationships, trustworthiness, and high ethics.
The way you deal with your followers, and the relationships you build will lay the foundation for the strength of your group. The stronger the relationship, the stronger their trust and confidence is in your capabilities.
Once you have their trust and confidence, you man proceed to communicate the goals and objectives you wish to undertake.
Communication is a very important key to good leadership. Without this, you cannot be a good leader. The knowledge and technical expertise you have must be clearly imparted to other people.
Also, you cannot be a good leader unless you have good judgment. You must be able to assess situations, weight the pros and cons of any decision, and actively seek out a solution.
It is this judgment that your followers will come to rely upon. Therefore, good decision-making is vital to the success of your leadership.
Leaders are not do-it-all heroes. You should not claim to know everything, and you should not rely upon your skills alone.
You should recognize and take advantage of the skills and talents your followers have. Only when you come to this realization, will you be able to work as one cohesive unit.

Why Are You Failing To Start A Home Business?

People start a home business for various reasons. Some want a better quality of life, some want more time with family and friends, and others want wealth, and the list goes on. But no matter the reasons for starting a business of your own, there are realities that one must face. First and foremost, starting a business is hard work.
Unfortunately, individuals starting a business don’t realize the amount of work it takes to build a business. They hear all the promises of wealth, nice vacations, no more job, etc. but many members of home business opportunities have not informed those starting a business the amount of work that is required. Thus, those who are just starting a home business come in with unrealistic dreams of success overnight or in a relatively short amount of time.
Once these individuals find out how hard it is to build a business, they soon give up and move on to another company, again with the same unrealistic expectations, or they quit altogether.
The truth of the matter is, building a home business is a process. It will not happen overnight and it may not happen in the first, second or third year. I am sure you have heard of people who have tried for five, six, or more years to build a successful business. For example, look at Mike Dillard. Here is a man who quit his job and worked as a waiter while trying for six years to reach success. Not many have this kind of drive and passion and these two characteristics are what one needs in order to overcome the many obstacles you will encounter during your business building process.
The primary reason it takes so long is due to lack of skills in marketing. Think about it for a moment. Many of you have been working at jobs for many years. While at your job, did anyone take the time out to teach you how to market a business? The answer is, NO. Not unless your job was in sales or real estate and then maybe you may have had some kind of marketing or sales training, but most of us have not.
The necessity of marketing skills is one key to success in any business, yet still, those individuals who are told this do little to nothing in trying to learn these skills. Some say its too hard, it costs too much money, I don’t have the time, and more excuses. But, I want you to do one thing. Ask yourself why you started a home business in the first place and what did you think it was going to be like in building a business? Did you think it was going to be easy? You may have heard the many struggles that Donald Trump has gone through and if you know anything about Robert Kiyosaki, you know it was not easy for him. This is true for most successful entrepreneurs. They had to overcome many very difficult obstacles for a number of years before they achieved their success. So, why did you think it was going to be any different for you?
I believe the reasons those who became successful is due to the fact that they finally got it. After all their struggle and hardships, they learned from those struggles and hardships what not to do and they learned how to properly market themselves and their business.
Here is another question I ask you. What are you currently doing to build your business? If you are using offline marketing, you are probably talking to as many people as you can or you have purchased leads and doing cold calling, or placing ads in various newspapers, and maybe using other offline marketing methods. If you are using online marketing, you are probably using the various social marketing sites to market you and your business, or you are submitting articles, or using pay-per-click or more.
But I bet most of you are doing little to nothing. Why? Have you given up? If so, then I assume you have returned to your jobs, but if you are here looking at this, you probably have not totally given up but still not in full action in building your business.
I hear often people who tell me that they want a home business and then initially get into action and then steadily pull back. Here’s the thing. If you say you want a business and then do little to nothing, you are setting yourself up for failure or have already failed and just don’t know it. It is one thing to say you want something, but it is another thing to put what you say into action for the long haul and work at it until you achieve success. But, again, most will not. It is your actions or lack of actions that determines your success and the first thing you must do is to invest in yourself by getting those marketing skills down.
Here is something very, very interesting that happened to me today. I took my mother to her doctor’s appointment. While I was sitting in the waiting room, I overhead these two men talking and what they were talking about owning a business and the economy.
One of the men talking was a successful entrepreneur who had a number of businesses throughout the United States. He talked about his real estate company and other companies that he owned, including his seven bedroom vacation home in Florida. The other man involved in the conversation, did not own any businesses but seemed very interested in what this man had to say.
Here is where it gets interesting. During the conversation, the wealthy man discusses his conversation with another very wealthy man. It was mentioned that this very wealthy man owned companies all over the world. At this point, I want to mention that I am going to refer to the wealthy man who sitting in the doctor’s office as Man 1 and the other man who owns numerous companies around the world as Man 2.
Man 1 shares his conversation that he had with Man 2. Man 1 stated that Man 2 did not believe that the real estate market was going to change, at least not in our lifetime. This is not very good news for me considering I own a real estate investment company. Just about my entire rental properties are upside down. This home I recently bought is not, but I know that it is just a matter of time where it will be.
He also mentioned that he foresees that the current currency in the U.S. along with all of the other countries was going to be a currency used worldwide. In the United States, he felt that the dollar bill was going to be replaced by this new form of currency. Now, I have heard and read about this possibility, but it was interesting to hear this from someone else.
And, here is another interesting piece of the conversation. Man 2 felt that gold and silver were going to become of more importance in many people’s lives due to the fact that the value of the dollar bill was continuing to decrease. Man 1 even stated that he had started buying silver and gold and I know of another woman in one of my businesses had taken half of her savings and invested in silver and gold.
Although silver and gold may have decreased some but it seemingly is not as volatile as the dollar. Man 1 also mentioned that when you invest in silver and gold, the best approach is to treat it as an investment, meaning don’t sell it immediately. Keep it as you would your 401K and other types of investments.
One of the last statements I heard during this conversation was that Man 2 said the economy here in the United States, as well as in other countries, is going to continue to get worse before it gets any better.
You may be wondering now why I am telling you this. First, I see too many people who say they want a business and then do hardly anything to help them and help their businesses. These individuals don’t realize that their actions or inaction have already determined that they are destined to fail or have already failed. That is one point.
The next point is, I am a member of a company that markets silver and gold. It is a good company that is taking off and is one way that will allow anyone to invest in silver and gold. I chose this company because I knew that silver and gold was something to invest in and how did I know? By listening to many of the wealthy. Keep in mind, the wealthy got there for a reason and a lot of it has to do with the choices they made. Those who are living paycheck to paycheck or are struggling have not made very good choices so should I listen to them or should I listen to the wealthy individuals. By observing and listening to what the wealthy are saying and doing, I made the decision to join a company that would be beneficial to me and my family in the long run.
In other words, I am trying to plan ahead. My personal belief is I don’t think the government is telling us everything and probably because they don’t want to cause a panic. But, if things continue to get worse; such as the housing market, cost of living continues to go up, job loss continues, and the middle and poor class continue losing ground and eventually hope, while many of the rich continue to get wealthier, it is inevitable that many people are going to suffer like never before, probably worse than what happened during the depression.
In conclusion, I am not trying to make things look dismal, but I what I am trying to do is to help you to open your eyes and ears and starting making plans for your future. I know some of you are and maybe it is working for you. Well, I am not talking to those; this article is referring to those who have not made any future plans. If you have started a home business, I suggest you re-evaluate your reasons for starting a business and if you are not getting the proper marketing training or doing anything to build a business, ask yourself why? Now, more than ever, is the time to start planning for your future and your family’s future. Do you have a plan? If not, you had better start working on one. Now is the time to take better control of your life because if you are not in control of your life, someone else is.
